One day after the cancellation, Trump told reporters that he may still meet with Kim as previously scheduled on June 12 in Singapore. "We had very much counted on it being a significant step in sorting out the situation on the Korean Peninsula and that it would be the beginning of the process of denuclearizing the whole Korean Peninsula".

He saw denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula as the objective of a dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea, of which the summit between the two leaders would be the beginning.

The meeting is only the second between South Korea's Moon Jae-in and the North's Kim Jong-un.

On the other hand, the question of how much time it will take for China and the U.S. to reduce the trade deficit remains elusive. In tweets earlier this week, he said: "China is out-negotiating the administration and winning the trade talks right now".

Trump rattled the region on Thursday by cancelling a planned June 12 meeting with Kim in Singapore, citing "open hostility" from Pyongyang.

"He. expressed his intention to put an end to the history of war and confrontation through the success of the North-US summit and to cooperate for peace and prosperity", Moon told reporters in Seoul on Sunday.

Mr Moon said North Korea and the United States will soon start working-level talks to prepare for the Kim-Trump summit.

"Chairman Kim agreed on that", he added.

Analysts have said remarks by White House national security adviser John Bolton and Vice President Mike Pence urging a "Libya-style" coerced denuclearization of the North had amplified lingering concerns by Kim about his regime's safety.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told lawmakers that the "sonic attack" in China was "medically similar" to the incidents in Cuba. China's Foreign Ministry and National Health Commission did not immediately respond to faxed questions about the report.

On Friday, Trump indicated the summit could be salvaged after welcoming a conciliatory statement from North Korea saying it remained open to talks.

The official says the North also reneged on a pledge to allow global inspectors to monitor the supposed demolition of its nuclear test site Thursday.

At their meeting, Moon and Kim also agreed to have their top officials meet again June 1 and to set up separate talks between their top generals and Red Cross officials to discuss how to ease military tensions and resume reunions of families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War. The two Koreas planned to hold a meeting last week, but the North called if off at the last minute, taking issue with joint military drills between South Korea and the United States.

Footage released by the Blue House on Twitter, accompanied by a dramatic orchestral score, showed Moon arriving in a convoy of cars and first shaking hands with Kim's sister Kim Yo Jong, who has played a major public role in recent talks with the South.

The third quarter was Houston's highest-scoring frame of the game, yet it was no match for the onslaught they had to face. His ability to take advantage of smaller defenders on him and shoot over them has truly made him unguardable.
