Per The Ringer's Ben Detrick, an investigation of five different Twitter accounts linked to Colangelo were used to criticize players and coaches on the Sixers and disclose medical information about Jahlil Okafor before he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in December. "The evidence supports the conclusion Ms. Barbara Bottini, Mr. Colangelo's wife, established the Twitter accounts and posted content on those accounts".
Colangelo, who is the team's president of basketball operations, confirmed that at least one of the accounts was his. "Forensic evidence corroborates her admissions", the law firm said in a statement. There was no definitive proof linking Colangelo to the others; however, when The Ringer contacted the 76ers about two of the accounts, they intentionally did not mention the other three.
Beijing to slash import barriers on range of consumer goods
Beijing has pledged to take steps to increase imports amid rising tensions with some of its biggest trade partners, the United States chief among them.
On Wednesday, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported the Sixers believed Colangelo had no knowledge of the social media accounts. "We will report the results of that investigation as soon as it is concluded".
"An independent investigation by NY based law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP was conducted into certain anonymous social media accounts that posted information concerning the club, personnel, and related topics". We believe that Mr. Colangelo was careless and in some instances reckless in failing to properly safeguard sensitive, non-public, club-related information in communications with individuals outside the 76ers organization.
