Woman walking dogs may have been ambushed by alligator

No one witnessed the attack, but a neighbor said 47-year-old Shizuka Matsuki was walking her two dogs Friday morning by a lake in Davie, a suburb of Miami, when she vanished.

Florida's Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission said an examination of the alligator revealed evidence indicating the victim was bitten and killed.

"The FWC believes that the victim is deceased and we will continue recovery efforts on the lake with local authorities", the update continued.
