Oppo's new Find X phone has not one but three pop-up cameras

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Oppo Find X today at an event in Paris.

The OPPO Find series is back. The company might go with the ultrasonic proximity sensor and piezoelectric earpiece for the Find X. BBK Electronics, which also owns Vivo brand recently launched the Vivo Nex smartphone, which featured a 91.24% screen-to-body ratio which is the highest right now in a smartphone, but the crown will be taken by the Find X in a couple of days from now. But that's alright. The Find X is the craziest bit of technology we've seen coming out of China off late - after the Vivo Nex - and because Oppo is fairly active in India, chances are the Find X may come to India as well.

And finally, the phone has Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus-like curved sides with rounded corners. Here's everything we know so far about it.

The Find X's design has some potential drawbacks, though they're hard to assess without actually using the phone for some time.

May's Brexit plans set for defeat, teeing up Wednesday showdown
However, the amendment to the EU Withdrawal Bill tabled on Thursday leaves Parliament facing a "deal or no deal" choice. Expected Lords amendments to the Brexit legislation are set to return to the Commons on Wednesday.

Oppo is claiming that the camera opens in just 0.5 seconds. Speaking of which, Oppo has opted against using a fingerprint sensor - physical or in-display.

Oppo Find X specifications As per the report from The Verge, the Oppo Find X sports a 6.4-inch OLED display of 1080 pixel wide resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with an Adreno 630 GPU coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The setup is Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted.

There's also AI scene recognition which can identify 21 different scenarios, automatically adjusting the camera settings, giving you better photos. It also has two rear-facing cameras that aren't immediately obvious, either.

Oppo also revealed that the Find X will make its way to Europe with sales starting soon in France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. The high-end smartphone is expected to come with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 per cent, the 5x dual camera zoom it debuted at MWC 2017, and its custom fast charging tech that can fully charge a 2,500mAh battery in 15 minutes. The Lamborghini Edition with 50W (10V/5A) Super VOOC flash charge can be fully charged in just 35 minutes.

Find X is priced at 999 Euros (Rs 78,500 approximately). The company has created a dedicated events website that will break down all announcements it plans to share later today.
