Hot, humid air spurs heat warnings across Maine

FRIDAY: This is the day we expect to finally transition from the higher heat and humidity. While record temperatures are in the upper 90s to near 100 this time of the year, a few locations may still flirt with record highs.

The heat and humidity will intensify with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s and a heat index near or above 105°.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency's social media account says temperatures will be dangerously hot this weekend and advises people to stay hydrated and check on children, the elderly and pets for heat-related illness.
