The 12 boys and their soccer coach rescued from a flooded cave in northern Thailand appeared in public for the first time on Wednesday.

He said: "We don't know what wounds the kids are carrying in their hearts". White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders said that Trump's statement was misconstrued and he did mean what he said.

They then hugged their friends before taking seats up front with doctors and members of the Thai navy SEAL unit who dived to help bring them out, along with others who helped them during their ordeal.

The "Wild Boars" team members wore football jerseys when they entered the conference room in Chiang Rai province after being discharged from hospital.

Ekarat Wongsukchan, 14, said they decided "to calm ourselves first, to try to fix the problem and find a way out".

According to the boys' 25-year-old coach, Ekapol Chanthawong, it was the entire team, under the guidance of global divers and the Thai Navy SEALS, who decided which boys to rescue from the cave first.

Miller then allegedly confessed kidnapping Tinsley and bringing her to his home where he raped, strangled and killed the girl. Miller added it took 10 minutes for her to die and that after she was dead he violated her corpse, the affidavit said.

Towards the end of their introduction to the world the Wild Boars were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up.

One boy, Adul, revealed that they had been surprised that the first rescuer they encountered was not Thai - and that they heard his voice before they saw him.

In the water below their ledge were two British divers, who had pushed far into the Tham Luang system in a desperate search for the group.

"It was magical. I had to think a lot before I could answer their questions".

Earlier on the televised show numerous boys said that they would not set foot inside the cave again.

They were found almost two weeks after disappearing, having survived by drinking the water dripping off the caves roof that is naturally filtered.

China is a foe economically, certainly they are a foe", said Mr Trump. "But that doesn't mean they are bad", he said. The President also lied about his parents, saying that both "were born in European Union sectors".

Thailand's wet season was just around the corner - a period of monsoonal downpours that often floods the cave - and there were already pools of water inside the mouth. "All the thirteen Wild Boars are now out of the cave", the Thai navy SEALs team said on its Facebook page when the rescue was finally complete.

"We tried to dig out as we thought we can not only wait for authorities to get us", coach Ekkapol Chantawong told reporters.

"We drank water that fell from the rocks", said Pornchai Khamluan, 16.

They searched for an exit deeper in the cave but returned to their overnight refuge, where it became obvious they could not make their way back to the entrance and would have to wait for help.

They also paid tribute to a former Thai Navy SEAL diver Saman Kunan, who ran out of oxygen and died while helping resupply air tanks along the cave's narrow passageways. Trying not to think about food was nearly impossible at that time.

During the press conference, numerous boys thanked the rescuers for their heroic efforts.

But when they make you feel unwelcome, why would I stay there?" He said: "The people voted to break it up, so I imagine that's what they'll do".

Numerous young boys said they wanted to apologise to their parents as they had not told them they were going to explore the cave.
