Xiaomi has just annouced two new devices - Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite; both are running on Google sideline project Android One. The Mi A2 Lite is the toned down version of the Mi A2. Mi A2 Lite will be available in a single storage version, and is expected to cost under Rs 15,000. The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (€179), or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of space (€229).
The Mi A2 will cost €249 (about $291) for the variant with 4GB of RAM, or €349 (about $408) for the handset with 6GB of RAM.

Minella saved two match points in the 12th game as she took the set into a tiebreaker, where Cornet rallied from 3-1 down. As she had done in the first set, Minella got an early break in the second, but lost it.
Xiaomi celebrated its first Android One anniversary with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi A2 and A2 Lite. While Xiaomi's Redmi and Mi series offer MIUI flavor of Android, the Mi A segment is part of the Android One program that delivers the stock Android experience.
The Mi A2 builds on that success with upgraded internals featuring a Snapdragon 660, a dual-camera array, a 6-inch 1080p display, and up to 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. Mi A2 Lite gets dual rear cameras as well.
The rear dual camera system features a 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensor working in tandem. The manufacturer rolled out more than a handful of phones powered by the chipset - including last year's Mi A1 - so there's not going to be a performance differential between the A2 Lite and what we saw last year. The 5.84-inch screen is again a Full HD IPS display but with an aspect ratio of 19:9, i.e., a notched display. The new smartphones are expected to come with multiple options, including 3GB or 4GB RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage. The Super Pixel capabilities can only be activated manually, i.e. through the Pro shooting mode of the Mi A2, though the smartphone's automatic settings should already be more than suitable for the vast majority of lighting conditions you encounter.

The State Department, by contrast, rejected the proposal - which Trump days earlier had called an "incredible offer - as "absurd". The White House backtrack came just before the Senate voted overwhelmingly against the idea.
While there is no word about whether this device will be launched in India, but we can expect it to arrive in India under another alias. Much like some of the other two-tier smartphone releases of late from other companies, Xiaomi has two distinct phones here with the same name.
In terms of optics, the smartphone has a 12 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor along with an 8 MP selfie camera. The Mi A2 will start selling on 27 July in Spain and it will gradually be launched in the mentioned markets throughout August.
Coming to the prices, the upcoming Mi A2 Lite has been listed for £209.99, which roughly translates to Rs 14,421 on conversion. It has a 4000mAh battery, a pair of cameras on the back (12MP and 5MP), and a 5MP front-facing camera.
