Urban Meyer And The Benefit Of The Doubt

The wife of Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer has arrived at the building where trustees are meeting to determine Meyer's fate.

Ohio State released a detailed 23-page report Wednesday night that was jammed with vital information on the university's investigation of Urban Meyer and his handling of the Zach Smith situation, but the report was distributed after school president Michael V. Drake, athletic director Gene Smith and Meyer spoke to the media.

However, according to a report by Brett McMurphy, Meyer did have knowledge of the 2015 incident in which Smith was arrested for felonious assault and domestic violence of his then-wife.

During the course of Ohio State's investigation, further allegations surfaced against Zach Smith. As for Courtney Smith, the report indicates Meyer was not convinced that she was being truthful, even after an OH court granted her a civil protection order against Zach Smith.

Local mosquito spraying scheduled after West Nile Virus detection
After it rains, you should tip and toss any standing water, where mosquitos may breed, including clogged gutters. Wear long sleeves and long trousers sprayed with insect repellent such as DEET to keep biting insects away.

Urban Meyer saw some text messages were being published. But, the investigation report summary said, Meyer and Smith failed to take sufficient management action relating to Zach Smith's misconduct and retained an Assistant Coach who was not performing as an appropriate role model for OSU student-athletes. Urban Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave on August 1. For his legacy? Can Ohio State still make the College Football Playoff?!? And given some of the other findings in the report, Meyer shouldn't automatically get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to what he did - and didn't - know. He drinks a lot and I am just not sure how stable he will be.

OSU said investigators interviewed more than 40 witnesses and reviewed thousands of documents during the two-week investigation.

Ohio State's season starts September 1 with a game against Oregon State in Columbus.

"We always practice life with our kids; that's what Coach Ginn teaches us, so it's just more than football; it's the behaviors that you present", he said. Police looked into the 2015 allegations, but no formal charges were filed, officials said. And, I did so regarding the Zach Smith incident in 2015. As reporters staked out Urban Meyer's vehicle in the loading dock, the assistant director of football operations could be heard over a loudspeaker directing practice. Meyer said he did not know how much money they spent. "I'm a different person now than I was back in 2009, 2012, my awareness of domestic violence and how serious whenever you hear that kind of accusation, absolutely-I've grown".

While Williams has admitted the catsuit makes her " feel like a superhero ", it's much more than a fashion statement. Now, French tennis officials have banned the fashionable suit and others like it.

Following an executive session of its Board of Trustees that lasted almost a dozen hours, Ohio State announced Wednesday night that Meyer will be retained as the Buckeyes' head football coach.

"The fact that he could not mention the victim's name, Courtney Smith - he was asked specifically about her, said he felt sorry for everyone involved", Christine Brennan, a sports columnist for USA Today and a CNN sports analyst, told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Thursday morning. Mine, and many others answer is a resounding no.

Possibly the most surreal part of the last month was seeing Meyer under fire for seeming to overlook allegations of misdeeds by an assistant coach whose resume was rather thin.

Meyer was suspended for three games. The lawsuits alleging sexual abuse by Dr. Richard Strauss say Ohio State facilitated the abuse by ignoring complaints.

Officials believe body of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts has been found
It is significant because if we had stronger border security, it is possible that Mollie Tibbetts would be alive today. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation planned a 5 p.m. news conference ET to provide an update on the case.

"The suspensions are tough, but I fully accept them", Meyer said Wednesday night. The report contradicted a statement Meyer made at Big Ten media day the week prior disavowing knowledge of alleged abuse perpetrated by Smith in 2015. Between Meyer and the Buckeyes and D.J. Durkin's issue with the Maryland Terrapins, recent coaching scandals will have a huge impact on the early season for the Horns.
