Lyon strike deal for Celtic forward Dembele

Lyon announce the signing of Celtic and France Under-21 striker Moussa Dembele on a five-year deal for a €22m (£19.7m) fee.

As it stands, Celtic are yet to accept any offers for their striker, but it seems like Dembele will do whatever it takes to push through a transfer before the transfer window closes.

The France Under-21 worldwide completed his move to the Groupama Stadium on Friday night for a €22m (£19.7m) fee.

However, last night the Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said it was unlikely that the player would leave as the Hoops wouldn't have been allowed adequate time to line up a replacement before the end of the global transfer window.

In a statement, he said: "Every decision we make at Celtic will always be in the best interests of the club and our supporters". "It has never happened".

Russian Federation to hold biggest military drills since Cold War - DN - Defence Notes
It has been increasing since Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and backed pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine. This exercise will be the biggest military manoeuvre held by the country since a Cold War drill in 1981.

The Celtic striker has been linked with a move to Lyon in recent days with Brendan Rodgers confirming yesterday that the club had rejected a "significant" offer.

"The board and myself are united and they have been very supportive to me on this issue", Rodgers said. Our real focus now turns to Sunday's match and beyond.

The 22-year-old has also been "liking" a number of tweets along similar lines.

"My coaching team and the culture and environment we have created in these last two seasons".

This prompted Dembele to post a meme on his social media account with the caption, "A man, without his word, is nothing. A real man keeps his word", and "A lie has many variations, the truth has none".

Louis C.K. had admitted to all wrong doing and issued an apology to the women he offended or abused shortly after the news broke. Dworman was surprised that C.K. returned so soon, and in such a setting, and that he didn't address the controversy at all.

Rodgers had the following to say in light of Dembele's move back home to France. He was clearly unsettled and wanted to go.

Dembele - who was halfway through a four-year deal - sat out Thursday's Europa League win over Suduva after Lyon's bid emerged. The club got the absolute most they could have in my opinion.

Despite also agitating for a move after Fulham had an £9m offer rejected, Boyata is set to remain a Celtic player until the summer as he winds his contract down.

One tweet Dembele liked came from a French media outlet which claimed Rodgers had told Dembele in January that Brighton were a better club than Celtic and tried to convince him to join West Brom.
