Trump emphasizes ‘extraordinary progress’ in U.N. Speech

Since US President Donald Trump's first address to the United Nations General Assembly past year, the champion of an "America First" foreign policy has by most accounts taken control of a decision-making process once driven by members of the Washington establishment.

The president boasted that he's accomplished more during his time in office than nearly any previous administration - a claim that drew immediate laughter from the assembled diplomats and other world leaders.

"I didn't expect that reaction, but that's okay", he said, which was followed by more laughter and applause.

The president took a more serious tone when discussing Iranian leadership, accusing the regime of fueling and financing the humanitarian crisis in Syria.

"The campaign of pressure against Iran is driven in part by Middle Eastern friends of the Trump administration who wish to draw the USA into an active confrontation with Iran", said Countryman who now heads the Arms Control Association pressure group. "They do not respect their neighbors or borders or the sovereign rights of nations".

"Iran's leaders plunder the nation's resources to enrich themselves and to spread mayhem across the Middle East and far beyond", Trump said, while urging other countries to increase economic sanctions on Iran.

"The U.S. will always choose independence and cooperation over global governance, control and domination", Trump said. He says the United States will never tell other nations how to live, work or worship.

TUTTOSPORT: Paul Pogba has chosen Juventus return
The poor run of form has come following a hard transfer window in which Mourinho repeatedly voiced his desire for more backing. Mourinho said on Sky Sports shortly before kick-off that Pogba and others had been "rested" for the Derby game.

At least there isn't a tweet from Donald Trump's past that provides an ironic counterpoint to what happened today, because then there would be egg on his face for sure.

In his second dress to the world body, Mr. Trump struck a more somber tone than past year, when he had warned the US would "destroy" North Korea if it persisted in threatening America.

He said the review will examine what is working and what is not working and whether countries that receive U.S. aid "have our interests at heart".

Quashing the current pact would come at a political cost for the Iranian president, who championed the deal with the supreme leader's guarded backing and could lose support from European allies.

The Iranian president took aim at the Trump administration, stating that its behavior in worldwide affairs is "authoritarian".

Trump is scheduled to deliver his address at 10:15 a.m.

Moon said the revised Korea-U.S. FTA will benefit both countries while also strengthening their alliance.

Plane passengers bled from their noses, ears on Jet Airways flight
Satish Nair also posted a picture and complained that passengers were not kept informed during the ordeal. The Boeing 9W 697 had to be manoeuvred back to Mumbai as passengers on board fell sick.

The changes, which come at a US request, were approved by the South Korean Cabinet last week.

But Mr. Trump went after a series of world bodies, including the World Trade Organization, the oil-producing OPEC coalition, and the International Criminal Court, which he said has "no legitimacy".

One year after mobilizing the worldwide community against North Korea, Donald Trump is trying to force another arch enemy to the negotiating table by targeting Iran with a similar campaign of "maximum pressure". He accused the USA of pressuring and threatening supporters of the Iran nuclear deal.

The accord, negotiated under Democratic U.S. President Barack Obama, lifted most global sanctions against Tehran in exchange for Iran curbing its nuclear program.

"The United States will hold the regime in Tehran accountable for any attack that results in injury to our personnel or damage to our facilities", Pompeo said.

In an unexpected turn of events, Mr Trump will not speak second as he had not arrived by the time Brazil had finished speaking.

Trump earlier this year withdrew the us from a nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers and reinstated economic sanctions.
