Google did its best to try and distract people from the fact that most of its products have been leaked in the past couple of months, with flashy promos leading up to its Made by Google event Tuesday suggesting we haven't seen it all.
Google held its annual hardware event today and announced the new Pixel 3, Google Home Hub, Pixel Slate, and new Pixel charging station. It will also run Android apps and Linux software out of the box.
Google Pixel Slate is the company's Chrome OS-based tablet and it features the stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port but there's no 3.5mm headphone jack. The new device gets an updated design as it comes with a larger bezel-less display and there is also a substantial improvement in the imaging department as now the Pixel 3 comes with dual selfie snappers. It will act as a digital picture frame when not in use, Google said, provided you connect it to Google Photos. It will also warn you if someone blinked or if the shot is otherwise poor.
But the company can promise the information you share with it will remain secret-at least between you and Google. There's a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button for your security and privacy needs and Google says that Pixel Slate can last up to 12 hours or even more on average usage.
Google shuts down Google
Google will shut it down over the next 10 months for consumers, but keep a version built for businesses open and operating. The data breach does not include any other data a user may have posted or connected to Google+ or any other service.
Google also showed off a new low light mode called Night Sight, which uses machine learning to instantly colour and lighten photos taken in the dark.
"Starting out in English in the US, Pixel 3's on-device AI helps you screen phone calls and avoid spam calls". Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
With the Pixel 3, Google has finally added Qi wireless charging. And, in the process, it gives you the opportunity to show anyone who would dare to disturb you with an actual phone call what you really think of them: Namely, that they're an annoyance. It will also be available on Google's Project Fi network. How does the notch look on a Pixel phone? In celebration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe 10th anniversary, the Pixel includes lifelike, interactive AR stickers of heros like The Hulk and Iron Man. Like other Google Home devices, you can shout "Hey Google" to wake it up.
"These characters are rendered to feel lifelike in that sense and they even interact with each other", Liza Ma, Google product manager said.
Jason Van Dyke Trial: Chicago Residents Prepare For Verdict
A white police officer has been convicted of murdering a black teenager after firing 16 bullets into him during a confrontation. Second-degree murder typically carries a sentence of less than 20 years, especially for someone with no criminal history.
The package also includes front-firing stereo speakers and two 8MP cameras, one on the back and one on the front.
Of course, you're here for the Pixel 3. With the Home Hub, you can choose a Live Album that will automatically display on the Hub's screen, ensuring the latest new photos are available. Every year, we anticipate Google to come up with something completely mind-blowing that sets a precedent for competition. In another apparent nod to privacy concerns, Google didn't put a camera on its Home Hub like Amazon and Facebook did with their respective devices to enable video calls.
The Pixel Slate was the other highlight of Google's launch event.
The Home View dashboard is available with the Home app's redesign, so purchasing the new Pixel or Home Hub isn't necessary.
