YouTube fixes "access issues" sparking widespread outage

Google's YouTube TV streaming service went down during the crucial England v Croatia match, leaving many without access to the stream.

As the second-most visited website in the world, YouTube users were most upset that they were blocked from watching their favorite videos or streaming the latest vlogger content.

As at the time of publishing this article, the cause of the outage is not known as YouTube is yet to reveal the cause. In addition, visiting YouTube.com produced a blank screen with only the YouTube logo displayed.

Some users reported "Error 500" or "Error 503", which are indications of a server error or a service that is unavailable, respectively.

The company released a statement on Thursday saying they are "monitoring the situation", but no additional word has been put out at this time .

The current situation with YouTube has invited tons of memes and trolls on Twitter.

YouTube has acknowledged the outage in a tweet. It further said that YouTube apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.

According to the company's Twitter account, they're working on resolving the issue. Clients over the world began to see that the video administration's sites and mobile applications were down around 9:20PM ET, and everything stays out of reach over an hour later.

Plenty of social media users around Sacramento took to places like Twitter to vent their frustration.

There is no word yet on when YouTube service will be restored.

At the same time, Walt Disney Studios was quick to defend themselves, saying it was Ralph's fault that YouTube went down.

As soon as people started to notice the YouTube outage, YouTube came up with its status update tweets.

They tweeted: "We're back!"
