Trump says migrant caravan includes 'unknown Middle Easterners,' offers no evidence


As a migrant caravan from Honduras appeared to be picking up increased numbers of people as it reached southern Mexico, President Donald Trump expressed alarm in a series of tweets and threatened to cut off aid to Central America. The migrants have begun setting up temporary encampments across the city as they await the rest of the caravan, according to the Mexican government and reporters on the scene. At the Honduran border town of Corinto, immigration officials checked documents of migrants who then boarded buses to return to their homes.

The president tweeted Monday, citing no evidence, that "criminals and unknown Middle Easterners" were part of the migrant caravan.
