Three children killed when struck at Fulton County bus stop


Police arrested the truck's driver, 24-year-old Alyssa Shepherd, Tuesday afternoon at her place of employment, according to local outlet WSBT TV.

It's believed the three children, twin boys, 6, and a girl, 9, were from the same family, Slocum said.

A fourth child, 11-year-old Maverik Lowe - who was not related to the family - was airlifted to a hospital with multiple broken bones and other injuries, according to WNDU. He remains hospitalized in critical condition. Investigators are interviewing the woman who was driving the truck. Maverik is now in stable condition.

The suspect, Alyssa L. Shepherd, 24, was taken into custody around 4 her workplace in Rochester, Indiana.
