Fox News Calls Sean Hannity’s Appearance at Trump Rally an ‘Unfortunate Distraction’

Fox News host Sean Hannity, who drew widespread criticism when he campaigned on stage with President Donald Trump on Monday, was keen to play down projections that Democrats would flip the House in Tuesday's midterm elections. The two popular anchors were invited on stage at his rally in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on November 5. Still, Republican voters tended to be overwhelmingly supportive of the president.

One former senior Fox News employee told CNN Business that he had spoken to a number of former colleagues who are still at the network about the matter.

"Fox News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events". We have an extraordinary team of journalists helming our coverage tonight and we are extremely proud of their work.

The network called Hannitys appearance at the event in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, an "unfortunate distraction" and said it had been addressed. Hannity said on his show that he had been "throwing footballs, signing hats and taking pictures" with members of the audience.

Said White House counsellor Kellyanne Conway: "I don't know that there will be much of an appetite for Democrat lawmakers to spend all of their time, or most of their time or even a fraction of their time investigating, instigating, trying to impeach and subpoena people".

The way you treat Sarah Huckabee Sanders is awful . "That's true", said Trump. "You should not treat people that way". After that, President Trump did his best to brush off Acosta's follow-up questions without answering.

Hannity tweeted earlier Monday that he would not share the stage with Trump, despite reports that he would. "I am covering final rally for the show". "Sean Hannity, come on up". They indeed are fake news.

Opposition to Trump proved to be more a motivating factor for Democrats than support for the president a factor for Republicans. "On the other hand, you had some that chose to, 'Let's stay away. But Sean Hannity can't help himself", said Camerota on "New Day" on Tuesday. Trump said in a tweet that did not mention the loss of GOP control of the House.

"We were all told that Hannity was going to interview the president, but no one that I spoke with expected what happened last night", the employee said. "This was NOT planned".

Hannity also slammed the other media outlets attending Monday's rally by calling them "fake news".

Hannity said on Tuesday that he was not referring to Fox News journalists when he made the comment. "They do incredible work day in and day out in a fair and balanced way and it is an honor to work with such great professionals", he posted.

As we witness the worldwide outrage at his killing, the perpetrators should know that they can never erase his vision for his beloved country.

Jeanine Pirro was called up to the stage next. Sean Hannity is not going on the stage. "What message do you have for America?" Do you like the fact that this man is the tip of the spear who goes out there every day and fights for us?

The rally begins at 9:00 p.m. CST.

In response to Hannity's appearance at the rally, a Fox News spokesperson said.

Hannity wasn't the only Fox News host to appear on stage at the rally. The newspaper quoted Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch as saying, "I don't think we should be supporting the Tea Party or any other party". Pirro, a former NY state attorney general who has a weekend show on Fox, spoke after him. Hannity described his role as that of an "advocacy journalist" during an interview in 2017.

But the network statement issued yesterday did not explain how it was addressed. This was around the time that a connection between Hannity and attorney Michael Cohen was made public.
