The Swiss great faces Alexander Zverev in the last four of the ATP Finals, with a potential blockbuster of a final against world number one Novak Djokovic to follow on Sunday.

What lies ahead for the 37-year-old star from Switzerland? "This is the biggest title I have won", said Zverev. "I don't like to compare, so I can't tell percentage-wise where I was at Indian Wells, Miami to now".

Alexander Zverev beat Roger Federer 7-5, 7-6 (7/5) on Saturday to reach the title decider at the ATP Finals in a match that ended in confusion and high drama.

Meanwhile, Backer also insisted his former ward, Djokovic will dominate men's singles season next year and pointed out the Serb is showcasing glimpses of his vintage self.

Novak Djokovic was aiming for a record-equalling sixth title to move level with Roger Federer, but he was unable to replicate the breathtaking form that saw him win every service game in his first four matches in London.

After recovering from a long time injury, Djokovic has had a dream come back to the court. He lost his serve in the first game which was big because he relies so much on his serve. He served the set out crisply with three aces, taking his first serve percentage to 88 for the opener.

Becker believes there is a scope for improvement for Zverev, especially when it comes to achieving Grand Slam success. "When you lose a close match like this you always have, wherever they are in the match", admitted Federer, who missed the chance of clinching his 100th career title in the French capital.

For once Djokovic was unable to wear down his opponent and, coupled with his below-par service game, was unable to seriously threaten Zverev.

Federer said: "He apologised to me at the net". I was making way too many unforced errors. "From 4-4 in the first set, my game really fell apart". "But if we put things in perspective it has been an wonderful year and a great comeback".

Zverev has already won three Masters events, but this title is a step up.
