Backed Syria force announces 'decisive' push against final IS holdout

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday that a "final battle" against the Islamic State group in eastern Syria has started. The US-backed fighters foiled an ISIS counter-attack at around 4.00am local time, according to Mr Bali, who said "heavy fighting" was taking place inside the last village.
