Olivia Colman has said she will be bringing her Oscar statuette to bed with her.

Broadchurch star Olivia was praised for her speech in which she thanked her mother, father, husband Ed Sinclair and her three kids "who are at home and watching" before quipping: 'Well, if you're not, then, well done, but I sort of hope you are.

Colman won the Best Actress trophy away from frontrunners like Glenn Close for Good Wife and Lady Gaga's acting debut A Star Is Born. Long before there was any talk of her appearing on The Favourite or The Crown, Colman played Queen Elizabeth in "Hyde Park on Hudson", a comedy drama centering around FDR's time in office. But she is naive and easily fooled, even kept out of the loop - something that Colman portrays with astonishing might. Queen Anne occupies the throne; however, she is in poor health, so Lady Sarah spends much of her time tending to the Queen's sickness.
