Families of those killed in Sunday's tragic plane crash in Ethiopia will wait a little longer before receiving the remains of their loved ones.

The deaths of 21 UN staffers March 10, on board an Ethiopian Airlines flight in Addis Ababa, is one of the biggest tragedies in the extended UN family-with a flashback to the deaths of 22 people, mostly UN staffers, who lost their lives in the Canal Hotel bombing in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad in August 2003.

The death penalty is an archaic and unjust system, disproportionately condemning people of color and those with disabilities. There hasn't been an execution in California since 2006, amid a years-long legal battle over the state's drug cocktail.

However, there is no way of knowing if anything other than coincidence is to blame. Those details don't immediately match with the Lion Air crash. Boeing's 737 historically have an outstanding safety record, and no potential causes - including human error, random malfunction or terrorism - have yet been ruled out.

Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive Tewolde Gebremariam told CNN on Tuesday that the pilot reported "flight control problems" and asked to return to the airport.

Quindos however said the family would not be sending a representative to Addis Ababa on Tuesday, adding they had made a decision to return to Nakuru where family meetings are being held. What particular problems he cited in those communications are unclear.

Elsewhere in Europe, Ireland, Austria and Norwegian Air said they too would temporarily ground MAX 8 passenger jets as a precaution.

I just had to acquaint myself with the new sensations, mental, physical, emotional, and it was all a great learning curve for me. The Japanese world number one was too strong for Mladenovic, hitting 24 winners and 24 unforced errors in one hour, 21 minutes.
