The new service will be available via the Apple TV app, which will also house the new Apple TV Channels service.

Oprah, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams were at Apple headquarters in California to talk about the launch of Apple TV+ - and their new exclusive Apple productions. To create Apple Arcade, Apple has joined forces with some of the world's most innovative game developers to realize the games of their dreams - and yours. Pricing and specific release and availability information has not yet been announced.

The Apple TV Channels service will be a system in which users will only pay for the content to which they'd like to subscribe.

The company also unveiled Apple Arcade, a video game subscription service with over 100 games to start and more to be added. For purchases made directly through Apple, in store and online, you get 3% cash. Apple promises more games are on the way from games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and more.

The Apple TV app has been redesigned to look similar to other popular streaming services like Netflix with vertical carousels of content and recommended things to watch next. In other words, if you've already got an iPhone or an iPad, and use iTunes and iMessage, odds are you'd be inclined to go with a new streaming service if it fits in seamlessly with your other stuff. As we are getting closer to the event, Apple video streaming service is looking to be less interesting than previously rumored.

The company also said it is launching a MasterCard credit card called Apple Card.

Apple's goal, other sources have told Reuters, is to bring together television shows in one place to make it easier to find, buy and watch them. Apple Card will be available on all iOS devices in the Wallet app. "Apple TV+ will be home to some of the highest quality original storytelling that TV and movie lovers have seen yet".

In total, there will be more than 300 magazine offerings inside Apple News+ at launch, Roger Rosner, Apple's VP of applications said during the announcement.
