Bernie Sanders to appear in Fox News town hall meeting

California senator Kamala Harris said on Monday night she raised $12m since announcing her presidential bid in January.

Now, there's a whole lot that we don't know yet, including how much the campaigns spent on acquiring those donations (or on other activities), and, obviously, the totals from the other 368 people running for president. That followed U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, who raised $5.9 million in his first day - and later disclosed he had raised $10 million in a week.

Hoping to solidify their positions as top-tier candidates in the eyes of voters, the Democratic presidential hopefuls began releasing first quarter fundraising totals this week, ahead of an April 15 deadline set by the Federal Election Commission. In her 2016 Senate race, which she won easily, Harris raised just over $15 million.

The Sanders campaign touted Tuesday that the majority of its donations so far - 99.5% - have come from people giving $100 or less. But other candidates whose fundraising has also been fueled by small contributions have also given a peek at their numbers. The $7 million number is a big one for any presidential candidate to raise in one quarter, especially for a previously unknown mayor of a relatively small city who is still operating in the exploratory committee phase.

The totals for the first quarter, which ran through March 31, are the first measure of how candidates are faring. Amy Klobuchar and former Gov. John Hickenlooper both said their campaigns took in one-day donations of $1 million.

Sen. Bernie Sanders raised $18.2 million for his presidential campaign during the first quarter of the year, a sizable sum that establishes him as an early pacesetter in the money chase underway in the Democratic primary.

The senator ended the first quarter with $28 million in his campaign account, according to Shakir.

The silence from candidates who haven't announced fundraising numbers typically speaks volumes, no matter the election cycle.

But there are signs of trouble in Warren's world.

But he came out from the break and hit back-to-back 3s and finished with 25 points - 21 after halftime - and 10 rebounds. Purdue's Carsen Edwards may have had the best individual performance of the tournament in the loss.

The campaign also said Tuesday that it had roughly 100 people now on staff and Weaver touted plans to begin hiring in "the all-important" state of California, which moved up its primary date for 2020. She raised just around $300,000 in her first 24 hours as a candidate, for example. Over the weekend, news broke that her campaign's finance director was leaving - never a good sign. The Vermont senator last appeared on the network during an interview on Special Report with Bret Baier in December 2018. That will tell the tale.
